Chrysler Repair: thermostat jiggle pin\bleed hole: 94 3.5L engine, chrysler factory, haynes manual

Question
On a 1994 New Yorker with a 3.5 liter engine, the Haynes manual states to place the themostat jiggle pin\bleed hole in the correct position, but doesn't state the positioning.
What is the correct orientation of the bleed hole?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Greg,
I checked my Chrysler factory service manual and my Haynes and don't find a reference to that positioning issue. It is relevant for the 3.0L engine but not for the 3.5L engine. So I would just install the thermostat in the housing without concern for the orientation of the bleed hole.
