Chrysler Repair: 2.7L Intrepid timing chain tensioner replacement, postal mail, chain tensioner

Hi Roland, I am replacing the tensioner in my 2.7. Is there special tools needed?I purchaced a new tensioner is it reset & ready to install?

Yes, the removal and install procedure use a special tool or two and is pretty detailed. I notice that the other expert in the category, Kevin, answered the same question on 1/14/08 so take a look at the 'previous questions answered' for this category to see what he posted there. I notice that the manual covers about 4 pages including drawings that might be useful to you.
