Chrysler Repair: 99 Cirrus computer problems, donor car, lxi

Question
QUESTION: Hi, I bought a 99 cirrus with the 2.7 from a friend.  he bought it not running, and he found that it needed a computer.  He put a used PCM in it and it ran.  The only thing wrong was that the red LED on the dash would come on when you start the car, then go out, then after about 20 or 30 seconds it would come on and stay on.  I drove it for about 3500 miles like this.  The other day i started it and it shut off after 2 seconds.  It kept doing this until finally it would just crank and not fire.  I took it to the local chrysler shop and they charged me 350 dollars to put a skim module in it cause they said that would fix it.  it didn't.  they programmed it to the VIN on the car, not the VIN in the PCM.  they wanted to charge me 1700 to replace all 3 modules... i can't afford that.  Is there any way to just get rid of the SKIM system?  I just need the car to run.  What is my cheapest alternative?

ANSWER: your screwed  first u installed a used computer  that was about the dumbest thing any one can do now a days. Was your car built with skim or not   as of right now  there are way to many variables for me to work u through to get u back on the road.

QUESTION: My car was built with a skim.  If i found a donor car and took all of the computers (PCM, BCM, etc.) and the skim out of it and put them all into my car, would that work?  As long as they all have the same vin flashed in i would think that would be ok.  I have a 99 Lxi.  would a stratus with v6 work?  My car has the 2.5.  not the 2.7 like i said before.

Answer
best course of action to get u working again  take it to the dealer tell them what U did  and U will get to buy a new PCM
and hope that is all that went bad.
By the time u replace the PCM    the  other computers still know it has skim and it will do it all over again.
Why not just spend the money and get it done right  sense u have already messed it up.
