Chrysler Repair: 99 Chrysler 300m No Heat, chrysler 300 m, plug sockets

Question
I have a 99 Chrysler 300 M with no heat.
I ran the self diagnostic and came up with a code 23 Blend Air Door Actuator feedback falure.
I plugged another acuator into harness and ran heat up and down no movement of actuator.
I have changed control head and BCM no change.
I have cleared system by disconnecting battery cable code still comes back.
I talked to local Chrysler dealer they said it could be BCM.
I have run out of thing's to try.
A/C works and all duct modes work just no heat in manual or auto mode.
I relly need your help on this one.

Answer
Hi Bob,
I would suggest looking over the wires to be sure they are continous to their respective plugs, and then it may be necessary to check the plug sockets where they attach to a printed circuit board for a cold solder joint that has opened up. The blend door actuator has 5 wires:
pin 1  dark blue/red  goes to pin 3 of gray plug at BCM
pin 2  dark blue/gray         pin 8 of gray plug  "  " "
pin 3  red/white              pin 1 of black plug "   " "
pin 4  pink/dark blue         pin 15of black plug "   " "
pin 5  brown/white            pin 10of gray plug  "   " "

The red/white wire is the feedback wire so check that carefully. I hope this will be helpful to you. The bcm is behind the fuse box under the dash. I suspect there could be a cold solder joint at the bcm pin 1 black if the wire gets to the plug OK. Do all the tests with the battery disconnected.
