Chrysler Repair: power steering rack identification, wheel drive cars, power steering rack

Question
I have an 88 plymouth reliant.  The rack is leaking and needs to be replaced.  There are four different racks at the parts store and I am not sure how to id which one i need. Can you help?

Answer
Hi Mark,
I have an '88 parts manual. It shows that all the power steering units for the front wheel drive cars are TRW brand. It also show that for your car it is a standard type, not firm-feel type. The part number is 4293 164.
The housing by itself is part number 4333 556.
Most of the front wheel body styles, other than your k-body car, used the firm feel type. So that is the best I can offer you. Only one drawing is shown despite the 4 or so different options.
