Chrysler Repair: rack & pinion r&r, chrysler lebaron, postal mail

I have to get my rack replaced and I was wondering how to tell what kind of rack it is. The car is a 94 Chrysler Lebaron. 6 cyl. 4 door sedan with 14 inch tires and I belive there is 3 different racks for it. Also how long would it take to do this type of a job if it was done at home.

Hi Joshua,
The manual doesn't cover the posssibility of there being several brands/sizes so your best bet is to check with the parts catalog of the store/dealer where you would buy it.
It looks like a half-day job to do it carefully. It is covered on 3 pages of the '94 shop manual which I would be pleased to xerox and postal mail to you. Use the "thank and rate" tab where there is a comment section where you can list you postal mailing address.
