Chrysler Repair: Instrument Panel Lights: 92 Lebaron, chrysler lebaron, 1992 chrysler lebaron

Question
I have a 1992 Chrysler Lebaron.  The instrument panel lights are not working.
Yesterday, my directionals were not working nor were the arrows lit up on the panel.  I bought a fuse and replaced the old one, it was in slot #6.  My Turn Signals, working and the arrows lit.

Today, the same signals are not working and neither are the arrows. In addition, when I use a directional it does not snap back into position once I've made my turn.

My lo beam hi beam light indicators on the instrument panel are not working either.

Also when I opened the box under the dashboard it has this blue open box hanging from wires and looks like it should be plugged in somewhere.

Can you help me?

Answer
Hi Carmen,
This is going to take a bit of circuit analysis to figure out what is drawing too much current. I have the pages from the '92 shop manual which I can xerox and postal mail to you. It costs me 10 cents per page and there are about 10 pages including the wiring diagrams that I would need to send you. If you would send me back 4 - 41 cent stamps after you get them that will cover my costs. If you want them just use the 'thank and rate' tab where there is a comment section to list the postal mailing address. It will be good if you have an ohmmeter or continuity tester for the troubleshooting steps.
The blue open box is a receptacle for a diagnostic code reader to look for trouble codes. That is the way it is supposed to be so don't worry about that. It has nothing to do with your problem.
It could be the flasher, a relay, one of the switches on the steering column, or possibly a light bulb that is causing the fuse to blow, but only a step-by-step will get to the answer.
