Chrysler Repair: chrystler running problems, throttle position sensor, head gasket

Question
QUESTION: Hi Kevin
I have a 1998 voyager 2.0L. I recently replaced the head gasket, but on rebuild, the car just hasn't run right. I starts immediately but when revving the engine it just dies back to idle, it will then pick up again. Once the engine is warm, the car runs well, but it lacks power with some hesitation. I have double checked valve timing which is correct, replaced throttle position sensor, camshaft position sensor and fuel filter with no joy. I have had an engine diagnostic test done and apparently there is nothing electrically wrong with the vehicle except that the fuel trims? are running at 25% below the normal setting. The specialist says the engine is running on "fudge factor"! Other than this he can find nothing wrong with the system. Could the ECU be faulty?- it does emit a beeping sound when the ignition is turned off (is this normal?)and no-one seems to be able to extract any fault codes from it. Someoneone did say that the voltage to either the air mass meter, or the throttle position sensor (I can't remember which)is 25% below the norm. Any suggestions gratefully recieved

ANSWER: the 25% fuel trim is your prob  The normal % is no more then 10 to 12  if u know for sure  if is -25 or + 25 that would help. Plus if u stay that high up  or go higher then 33% u will turn on a check engine light for fuel system rich,or lean depends if its - or + 25%.I live in the Atlanta area I would be glad to look at it for u.

QUESTION: Thanks for your prompt reply
The fuel trim is -25% at idle and move back up to 0 when revved. unfortunatly I live in the uk so it might be difficult to get the car to you!
