Chrysler Repair: Chrsler LHS - AC/Radiator, ac system, ac unit

Question
My AC unit all of the sudden started blowing hot air. After looking under the hood and while the car was idling, I could see that the fans weren't blowing. We checked the fuse relay as well as the fuses inside the car and they are all fine. Is it possibly the thermostat needing replace or is it something worse? Thanks for your help.

Answer
a thermostat works independent of the ac system. The fans are there for the ac and for when the car is not moving so that it will help the radiator to remove the heat. If u have low freon that will turn off the ac compressor and the fans will also not come on until the car is 220 or so.I live in the Atlanta area I would be glad to look at it for u.
