Chrysler Repair: 92 New Yorker Power Window, chrysler new yorker, down position

Hi,

My Mom has a 92 Chrysler New Yorker.  The driver's side window is stuck in the down position.  When you try to activate the switch, you can hear the power window motor run for 3-5 seconds, then it stops.  Does this sound like it's off track or can you give me anything to try?  Thanks!

Hi Chris,
I suspect that you will need to remove the door inner trim panel and service the mechanism that connects the motor to the window via cables, or it might be the motor. There are several pages in the '92 manual that you will need to do this repair. I can xerox and postal mail them to you. It costs me 10 cents per side plus the postage, but you can reimburse me with stamps or a check after your receive them. It should be less than $2.00.
