Chrysler Repair: AC refrigerant charge level measurement, level measurement, liquid line

Question
I ask this question recently, 8-4-07, as to why my daughters concord blows cold air in the morning and after the car sits in the sun it will not blow cold air....only outside type air.
You state that I should check the pressures. My question is how would I know when I check the pressures if that is the problem? I have the gauges but never learned what to look for low freon..only for really high or really low pressures. What should I look for?

Answer
Hi Landon,
There is a system test description in the manual that involves running the system while measure the temp of the outlet line and the pressure of the system and then referencing a graph which shows the proper range of the pressure for a given liquid line temperature. You would need a clamp-on line thermocouple as well as a gauge for the measurement. I can xerox and postal mail you the 2 pages that show the steps and the graph if/when you are equipped to do the measurement. Use the "thank and rate" tab to tell me a postal address.
