Chrysler Repair: 1999 NEON, wire connectors, steering column


Question
I have a 99 Neon R/T. I need to know how the remove the instrument bezel so I remove the Gage cluster. My speedometer shows 50 mph when the car is turned off.I was told just unplugging the cluster might reset it so I want try that first before I purchase a used one until I can get the orginal one fixed.Please help

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BEZEL
REMOVAL
Remove steering column cover.
Remove over steering column bezel Instrument Cluster Bezel
Remove left end cover.
Remove screw at left end of cluster bezel and headlamp switch.
Remove screws holding cluster bezel to instrument panel from each side of steering column.
Disconnect clip holding cluster bezel to instrument panel from above right vent louver.
Separate cluster bezel from instrument panel.
Disconnect wire connectors from back of the bezel.
INSTALLATION
Connect wire connectors into back of the bezel.
Place cluster bezel in position on instrument panel. Use care not to place hands on louvers.
Connect clips to hold cluster bezel to instrument panel. Use care not to add pressure on the A/C louvers to seat the cluster bezel clips.
Install screws to hold cluster bezel to instrument panel on each side of steering column.
Install screw at left end of cluster bezel and headlamp switch.
Install left end cover.
Install over steering column bezel.
Install lower steering column cover.
