Chrysler Repair: 99 T&C stuck in 2nd gear and speedometer not working?, speed sensors, need speed

QUESTION: I have a 99 Town and Country and the speedometer is not working and it seems to be stuck in second gear.  I was told this is some kind of module.  Can you tell me the exact name, where I can get one and how hard to replace?

ANSWER: I have no idea what u are talking about  and neither does who ever u talked to.  U need speed sensors  replace both for piss and giggles  even though the output one is the bad one. 25 bucks each  and dont haft to worry about the other one going out a bit later.They are on the tranny and screw into it.

QUESTION: Where do i get the sensors?  And thanks for the answer.  I did talk to the dealer and he also said a sensor. But wants to charge me $500.00 for changing out?

get the parts at the dealer  and u can put them in yourself  500  good god  people like that is what makes this industry look bad and look like crooks. get the sensors and u can see what they look like. From there u can see where they go. Remove the air filter housing and u can see them. side by side
