Chrysler Repair: adding fogs and cd changer to a 2000 sebring, fog lamp, disc factory

Question
QUESTION: Kevin
I am fixing up a 2000 sebring convertible and the car has stopped me cold twice. I bought the factory repair manuals and I cant get these two options to work.

1 added fog lights and a new multisitch on the steering column. The book does not show a relay but when I pull out the fog lamp switch I get nothing. I checked all the fuses and I sprayed the pigtails with wd 40 that were already in the harness.

Tried to add a 6 disc factory cd changer. I plugged it in to the stock radio and the mode switch to go to cd would not let me choose cd but the unit in my trunk would power up load and eject the cd cartridge

Any advice would be a great help

This little car is driving me nuts

thank you

QUESTION:  the sebring is a 2000 jx convertible

as far as addding the fog lights  the harness had all teh connections and The new Multiswitch on teh column plugged right in

it is acting like I am missing a relay I am just not seeing anything in my shop ,manual for teh car

The changer is mopar factory. I aill have to get you a part number tonight I am at work.

The radio has a round plug abd the cd changer has a square connector  I do have the 12 foot cable that goes round to square

Answer
I dont think that cd changer will work  the new radios have a square plug for the cd changer. The old one like u have the radio takes a different style cd changer. The 12 foot cable would not be required if it was a factory cd changer for that system  it would only be a 1 or 2 foot cable that goes from the radio to the cd changer that would be mounted  righe below the radio. As for teh fog lights its not as easy as u think just to install a multifunction switch. The switch sends voltage to the instrument cluster and then the cluster sends the power to the fog lights to come on.
