Chrysler Repair: Bad gas in 05 T&C?, independent shop, engine controller

Question
how long do I continue to drive w/check engine light on and symptoms of bad gas (hesitates, running rough)?  Should I have the fuel filter changed, or just let it make its way out of the system?

Hi Teresa,
Are you sure it is the gas? If not, then I would go to an Autozone Parts store and ask for a free readout of your engine controller memory for the fault code that is stored there. Then ask what it means, the code number, and what they say needs to be done. Then write back and give me the info and we'll go from there.
If you can't find that store then look for an independent shop that is advertising a "special" for a code readout at around $40.
If you are sure it is the gas, then get some gas treatment at the parts store and add that to the tank.
