Chrysler Repair: starter on 1998 Town & Country lxi, older cars, old cars

Question
My starter burned out and I want to try to replace it myself. Have replaced starters in older cars but not recently. Could you give me some advice on how to go about doing that? Thank you very much for your time

Answer
The replacement is the same as old cars. There is just a small problem; It is not easy to reach it!
I did a starter replacement in a 3,3 99.(same as 3,8)
It sounds like a lot, but it saves you time in the end.
Remove the front bumber, and the topbar( the one with helmethatch) Release the 2 screws on the head radiator.
Lift the radiator as much as possible without disconnecting, then place a wooden block to hold it up.
This will give you about ½ hour extra work, but it is much easier to reach the starter.
