Chrysler Repair: 1990 LeBaron headlight doors controller location, chrysler lebaron, headlight doors

Question
QUESTION: I can't locate the headlight door relay. The dealership was of no use. The motor is good and works when jumped. I can hear the time delay click when the lights are turned on.(I have the digital gage cluster)

ANSWER: Hi RJ,
There is control module that has three internal relays and it is located under the dash on the left side of the steering column. It has a 10-pin black plug (uses 6 wires).
So take a look for that. It is a one of a kind year because it was differently located in up to-'89 and '91-on.

Answer
Hi again,
Did you suggest to the parts counterperson at the dealership that he try querying all the dealers and parts depots? They have a nationwide interconnection so perhaps there is one or more out in the distribution system he could find that way. Otherwise you may have to construct something out of three relays wired together the way they were in '91-on. I can xerox copy and postal mail you a copy of the diagram that shows the way those relays are wired together with the door motor and the headlamp switch if you have to go that route. Other than looking for a '90 wreck, or maybe inquiry at the Yahoo autos groups called "The Chrysler Lebaron Club" and "Chrysler LeBaron" those are my ideas.
