Chrysler Repair: coolant leaking, radiator hose, loss situations

Question
this morning my 99 crysler cirrus started having coolant runing out it left a trail from where i heard a noise until i got pulled off the road.  I looked at the top radiator hose and it was fine.  i tried to look under the car but i will need to jack it up. the leak is about two feet back from the radiator from what i could see.  is ther a bottom radiotor hose or do you thin the water pump went out, i would appreciate you input.

Answer
Hi Dan,
There are in and out hoses to the radiator, of course, and also heater core outlet and return hoses to consider. With a noticeable trail on the ground I suspect you will not have any difficulty localizing the source of your leak. It is the slow loss situations that are more of a challenge.
And of course be aware that the heater core hoses are usually on the top of the engine (returning to the water pump) and that water will fall to the ground from any level where it is released, so trace all the coolant carrying hoses no matter where they are located. If the water pump seal has failed, the leak should be noticeable directly below it. If you need to write back, tell me which engine you have, please.
