Chrysler Repair: Neon dome light wont turn off, fuse block, dome light

Question
My dome light in my 2000 dodge neon won't seem to turn off even when the doors are closed and the car is locked. How do I get it to turn off without disconnecting the battery?

Answer
Hi Atlee,
I would suspect that the 'time out relay' located in the fuse block under the dash is faulty. This is the square one at the top right side of block. If that is not the reason then there is a short to ground in the wire from the dome light to the relay.
Please let me know if the relay replacement doesn't fix this. Of course you can pull the bulb if it is intractable but then you won't have the dome light.
