Chrysler Repair: Head Gasket replacement cost on 2.7/3.2L, head gasket replacement, loose bolts

Im looking into buying a 2002 concorde but it needs a Head Gasket how much do you think it would run me to fix

Im in Orlando Florida

Hi George,
I don't have a time manual for repairs, and it also would depend upon whether you are talking about a 2.7 or a 3.2L engine. The best bet is to ask a dealer and an independent shop that has experience with the engine involved to see what they estimate. The 3.2L looks a bit simpler than the 2.7 but neither are simple. Is the leak major? I have on occasion been able to stop a minimal leak by loosening slightly and then re-torqueing the head bolts when the leak is due to too loose bolts. But that is not something I would count would work if you are buying the vehicle. I would definitely try that if I already owned it, but don't count on it working if you buy the vehicle.
