Chrysler Repair: excessive crankcase level due to fuel?, crankcase oil, leaky injector

Question
what can cause excessive fuel in the crankcase when the fuel rail pressure doesn't leak down.

Answer
Hi Menno,
Are you sure that you have excess fuel in the crankcase oil? It might also be coolant if you see it to be milky or cloudy in color. Otherwise it probably is fuel. I don't know what you mean by the pressure doesn't leak down, do you mean that it holds that indefinitely. The pressure should decline over a period of time if the system were normal. And if it declines more rapidly than expected then I would suspect that one or more of the fuel injectors is dripping fuel into its combustion chamber and the around rings where it finds a pathway to the oil. So my suspicion for a source of fuel in the oil would be a leaky injector. You should be able to tell which one by inspecting the spark plugs or try cranking the engine after letting the engine sit with the plugs removed to see which spark plug hole shows fuel being built up in it by the expulsion of the fuel out the spark plug hole.
That would be my theory.
