Chrysler Repair: 1991 Dynasty A604 Transmission, chrysler drb, drb ii

Question
My Dynasty starts and (just lately) upshifts all four times before 27 Kilometres per hour. (16.7 MPH.)  Now for the problem: -  With any 3/4 Accelerator pedal, it thence immediately goes to "Limp-Mode."  However, if I baby it through all shifts, I can drive great distances without change. But on hills, when accelerator depression is required, back into "Limp-Mode."  Pull-Over and stop, shut off ignition and restart all over again.  Also, it will always go into "Limp-Mode," on every quickly slowing down to a lesser speed upon every heavy breaking application.
Any and all suggestions/reccomendations and/or advice is to be much greatfully appreciated.   .........Joe.

Answer
Hi Poppyjoe,
A couple of things: first get a code readout of the trans controller memory via the 6 pin data link connector under the dash and using a Chrysler DRB II (unless another reader is set up to do that readout). This is not the underhood plug for the engine controller memory. Then let me know the codes and we can go from there.
Another possibility, maybe depending upon the code #, is to change out all the trans fluid, using a special machine that will take out all the old fluid and substitute 10 qts of Mobil synthetic trans fluid (but it costs $4/qt) Other owners of these trans are reporting significant improvements in the shifting of their trans' by this maintenance.
I'll lookforward to hearing back what you learn.
