Chrysler Repair: jeep speed sensor, jeep grand cherokee, turbine speed

Hi, I pulled a code from my 99 jeep grand cherokee, saying the transmission speed sensor is not working my question is do you by chance know where it is located? or how to get to it. thank you for your time.

Hi Alex,
If it is like the Chrysler trans, it would be on the left side of the unit (where all the various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic fittings are) and it would be at the very far end of the trans. It is located about mid-level and there is another one (the turbine speed sensor) that looks just like it at the same level and near the front of the transmission. It is a small round module with flats on it side for removal. It should have a two wire plug. I hope this helps you.
