Chrysler Repair: 91 Chrysler New Yorker security system wont disarm, chrysler new yorker, key cylinder

My parents have a 91 Chrysler New Yorker. It sat for about a month and the battery went down. Since then, the security system is armed and will not start. We've tried disconnecting battery cables, locking and unlocking drivers door, and nothing. Can you please help? My parents really need this car and it runs great but won't start..

Have you tried to unlock the trunk with the key,do you have a keyless entry,have you tried the key fob.The next step would be to take the door panel off locate the 2 wire switch that goes to the key cylinder or has fallen off the key cylinder.Short those 2 wires togeather momentarly.You can follow the wiring to where the connector is to make it easier.If that doesn't work,I don't know what.Of course this for a factory alarm
