Chrysler Repair: 2005 Town & Country Tire Pressure Fault Indicator, country tire, pressure indicator

Question
Hi,
I have a question about tire pressure indicator in a 2005 Town & Country. It always worked fine before...if tire pressure was a little low the indicator comes on and once I fill tires the indicator clears after a couple miles. About three weeks ago I had the indicator come on again. I filled with air and indicator shut off. At this time I noticed tire were worn and I needed new ones (wife car). I had the tires replaced and after replacement the tire pressure indicator was on. Technician at NTB said give it a few miles to clear which I agreed. It has now been about 400 miles later a indicator is still on. I took back to NTB and they just checked tire pressure and said they don't know what the problem is as this car has no tire sensors. One of my questions is...Without tire sensors - How does the computer know that the tire/tires are low.? Can I just disconnect battery for a little while to reset the indicator.? Any help with this issue would be appreciated. Thank you

Gary

Answer
Really! This is interesting.Your 2005 t&c did come with tire pressure monitoring. The way it works is with a sensor in each wheel sends a rfi signal to the wireless control module.Your light is on because it is not receiving a signal. The sensors are part of the valve stem.If you do not loosen the nut on them and push them into the tire you will brake them when you dismount the tire.Somebody owes you 4 tire sensors!Good luck,I hope you can prove it.
