Chrysler Repair: Liftgate motor not unlocking, cant open, xerox copy, postal mail

Have an issue with the liftgate motor not unlocking the liftgate so I can open it.  Even if I use the key to try and unlock it, it wont turn clockwise.  The motor is shot.  I need to find way to manually open the liftgate

Hi Drew,
I don't personally have experience with the van, but I do have the '93 and '98 shop manuals. The latter shows how to remove the latch mechanism that may be necessary to correct this situation. Let me know which of these is nearer to the year of your van. I will xerox copy and postal mail you the pages that apply so you can try this approach to fixing the lock and the motor.
