Hi ronald I recently accuired a cirrus that had been in a accident, which I fixed my problem right now is with the idle control motor I got a code that read P0505 which comes to be the idle control motor replaced  it but the check engine light  still stays on and the rpms are going wild I noticed that the pcm is dented in one corner could that be causing it not to send the right code or could it be a bad wire  also how do you remove the centermember in order to change the front and rear mounts thanks for any help

Hi Luis,
Did you try cleaning out the by-pass air passageway which is what the iac motor is trying control, as well at the opening into which the pintel of the iac motor fits so as to be sure that the pintel can move into the passageway and that the passageway for the air is open?
Also did you check the wiring for the iac to the pcm plug? If so, then I would have to assume that the pcm has beem damaged. The wiring is:
gray/red to pin 57
yellow/black to pin 49
violet/gray to pin 58
brown/gray to pin 48
So check that those wires are connected and also test that they are not grounded due to a short in the insulation.
If all that doesn't correct the idle control, then the pcm may indeed be bad. But check the above possibilities first so as to not waste money on an unnecessary part.
On the engine mounts replacement, send me a comment via the "rate the expert" tab telling me which engine is in the car. I will xerox copy and postal mail you the pages from the manual that tell how to do and to deal with the structural members. You of course have to support the engine to change the mounts. Just give me a postal mailing address to sent the pages to.

Answer
Hi Luis,
Use your ohmmeter to check for both continuity from the plug at the AIS motor to the plug at the PCM using the connection colors/pin numbers I listed (it should of course be near 0 ohms). After each measurement just move one of the meter leads to ground (any shiny metal surface or the - post of the battery) and verify that the ohmmeter then reads a finite resistance greater than 0 ohms (e.g. not grounded).
I don't have specific advice on the serial number question. But I would certainly try to get a PCM from a 2.5 V-6 Cirrus/Stratus of '96 (give or take a year). That should make sure that you don't need reprogramming. But even so, a dealer can do that reprogramming using their Chrysler diagnostic readout box.
I'll copy those other pages this weekend and get them in the mail to you.
Thanks for the kind evaluation and nomination.
