Chrysler Repair: Durango Panic alarm, voltage pulses, remote keyless entry

Question
My Dodge Durango sounds the panic alarm when unlocking the doors with the remote entry module.  Any ideas what could be wrong?

Answer
Hi Joe,
I am not familiar with the electronic specifics of the panic mode signal as compared to the other functions of the remote keyless entry, and that is probably because this is a post-2000 vehicle? Unfortunately I have not been able to justify the cost of purchasing more recent manuals in my volunteer effors here at Allexperts.
My only thought is whether the battery in the remote might not be getting weak and is thus generating a false signal. The signals from the various buttons differ as to the voltage pulses, so a weak battery might put out an incorrect voltage signal. But that is just a hunch/guess.
I wish I could be more helpful.
