Chrysler Repair: Tail light 98 Town & Country, running light, filament

Question
Hi expert! My van's left tail light doesn't brighten when the brakes are activated when the headlights are on. And when the headlights aren't on, it doesn't light at all. It's not burnt, since it is on when the headlights are on. Is this an easy fix (like replace the lamp)? Thanks!

Answer
Hi Roger,
You have the answer...the lamp needs to be replaced. There are two filments in the bulb, and the one for the brake light is burned out. The filaments don't brighten when you put on the brake, rather an entirely separate filament in addition to the running light filament is energized by the use of the brake pedal. The bulb is a # 3057.
