Chrysler Repair: engine problems, 2000 Neon, auto parts store, engine controller

every time i start the car i here a knocking noise in the engine and when i drive the car it keeps shuting off and when i drive the car it keeps stuttering i put gas treatment in and really good gas but it just keeps wanting to stall please help me and the car i am talking about is a 2000 neon

Hi Dominick,
To be of help I need to get what are known as the engine fault codes that may have been self-recognized by the engine controller. You can sometimes get these readout for free at auto parts store (e.g. Autozone) or for a modest cost at a shop. Once you have those let me know what they are and which engine is in your car so that I might see if I have a manual for it that lists the possible solutions for those trouble codes.
