hood latch on96 LHS broken.How w do you get hood open to pepair.

Answer
It depends on how it's broken.  Most commonly the cable will stretch or the knot at the end will break off.  This is the easy fix because you can pull up the trim there at the left of the seat.  You'll gain access to the end of the cable and use vice grips to clamp on to what's left of the cable and pull to release the hood.  Replace the cable as described in the service manual.

Other times the opposite end of the cable will break meaning you will have to try and gain access from under the front bumper area.  I've not had too many of them break and don't remember the best procedure for popping the hood in this scenario.
