Chrysler Repair: Welcome to the Chrysler repair expert group, diamond star motors, daimler chrysler

Question
Hi Doug,
I just noticed you had volunteered. This is terrific to have you aboard. Pete Lacey and I have been at this for quite awhile and still can't be available as much as needed by the questioners. Your background is impressive and so I look forward to learning more about Chryslers from you. I am an amatuer mechanic and rely heavily on access to the shop manuals that I have accumlulated along the way. You can read my bio via the tab on the home page. When I go on vacation this weekend it will be good to know you are here. I usually pace my incoming questions by incrementing the number to be asked tab by one after I answer each question. That way I don't get bogged down with a large backlog. It results in about 5 questions per day, the same as you have initially committed to. I'll follow your answers with interest.

Answer
Hey Roland,
Thanks for the interest.  To be quite honest with you I'm going to be broke for a while and I figured I'd find something productive to do with my time.  I've run out of "new" questions on some of the other forums I go to since they cater to cars no longer in production.  I.E., the questions have almost all been asked before and the answers are already out there.

This site on the other hand opens up almost a whole new area for me to help out since it caters to owners of Daimler-Chrysler's products and not just the Diamond Star Motors era.

I'll try and poke around a bit to see how you guys have been approaching things and follow suit so as not to get burned out nor change the flow of things.

I have access to Mitchell on Demand, All-Data, and also still the Daimler-Chrysler website.  I'll be sure and use those to help out where ever I can with respect to the copywrite limitations.

Let me know if I can help out.
Doug
