Can you tell me how to totally unhook my anti-theft system? I am still having trouble. If you can give me an e-mail address I can let you know what all of us have done so far!

Hi Pat,
Once the anti-theft system was incorporated into the body computer, around '95, I have read of no way to simply disconnect it. I do know that the body computer is different depending upon whether one has or doesn't have the system as it came from the factory. So one way would be to change the body computer to the non-theft model. I can't be sure how to do that though without setting off the alarm, again! But it must be something that a competent dealer can do using their DRB III scanner. I would also wonder if the engine controller is similarly differentiated in which case it would also have to be changed. The parts counter at the dealer can tell you about both of those issues as regards cost and availability.

So  do write me back and tell me in "comments" section about what you have done to try and fix the false alarms.
