Chrysler Repair: speedo and computer system not working:94 LH, chrysler lhs, blown fuse

Question
I have a chrysler lhs 94' and the speedometer and the computer
system both stopped working. Could it be a blown fuse or
something simple?

Answer
Hi Marlon,
I am unclear what you mean by "computer system" because there are three digital controllers on board (engine, transmission, body) and they interconnect in what is called the CCD bus which is best troubleshot with a diagnostic readout box (Chrysler DRB II). So if you will be kind enough to describe what symptoms cause you to say the 'computer system' stopped working I would be better able to respond. The speedo depends upon the output sensor of the trans and the signal that it sends to the trans controller and from there on the CCD bus to the dash. I have the manuals for these systems if we can clarify the symptoms.
In the meantime, I would look at fuse #13 and fuse #14 under the dash; those would be the two that might be involved in parts of the CCD bus.
You can get a follow up response to me more easily via the "thank and rate" tab where there is space for a 'comment'.
