Chrysler Repair: 01 t&c passenger mirror plug in, haynes manual, passenger mirror

Question
Where do I "plug in" my replaced passenger side mirror so my heater and power work.  I replaced the broken mirror this evening but cannot find where on earth the new one should plug in at.

Answer
Hi Garry,
I have the Haynes manual for '96-9 and that shows there to be an electrical plug on the backside of the mirror assembly. It shows that you remove a screw that retains the strip of black molding on the bottom edge of the mirror assembly(exterior) which reveals 2 screws with torx heads that when removed allow the entire assembly to be detached from the door. There is an electrical plug coming on a wire from inside the door which can be unplugged on the backside of the assembly. If you merely replaced the mirror and now it still won't adjust I would question whether the motors that create the adjustability might not have been damaged by whatever experience caused the mirror to be broken. But take a look at the plug on the rear of the assembly to see if it got disconnected or not. The design may have changed between 99 and 01 in which case you could go to dealer and ask to look at their parts computer drawing of that part of the passenger side door and that will show you the wiring plugs. If both sides aren't working then the fuse for the mirror system may be blown.
