Chrysler Repair: 99 Chrysler Concorde Power Window Motor Woes, coming unwound, chrysler concorde

Question
I have purchased a power window motor for the rear passenger side window.  I thought that it would be cheaper for me to replace it on my own.  Unfortunately, I'm having problems trying to reach the screws located behind some sort of metal plate attached to the door.  I have been trying to figure out how to remove this metal part from the door, so that I can unscrew the old motor and replace it.  It appears to me that the window coil, spring (shaped like a pecan roll) is hindering me from completing this process.  Am I suppossed to take off the spring?... Will it uncoil?..  If not, what is keeping me from being able to remove this piece of meatal?

Answer
Hi Leni,
The best I can offer is to send you the pages from my '94 Chrysler manual for the LH series cars that shows the door and power window mechanisms and their servicing. That would be more accurate then anything I could write. So send me a postal mailing address and I will xerox and postal mail you these pages on Monday at no charge. I believe that you do not want to disassemble the spring but rather take out the entire mechanism and clamping it to prevent it from coming unwound while you change the motor, but the pages will be the most helpful.
