Chrysler Repair: Puddles in my 1994 LeBaron GTC, rubber flap, drain holes

Question
Hi Roland,  I saw in a couple of posts that water pooling on the back passenger side of my Lebaron may be due to clogged drain holes. For the life of me, I can t find them. Would you be able to tell me where they are? Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hi John,
There is a seam on the underside of the body that runs forward from each rear wheel housing and along that seam you should find a hole that is covered by a rubber flap. So feel/look along that seam for a flap, then use a pointed tool to clean out the water drain hole that is under the flap. The water that gets in around the convertible top and drips in the storage well for the top mechanism drains to either side and collects under the 1/4 window where it can soak and damage the motor for the window if that drain hole isn't kept open to allow the water drain out. And also the water can spill out on the floor of the rear passenger area.
