Chrysler Repair: 1995 lebaron, combustion chambers, head gaskets

Question
hey a few months ago you helped me out with a my 1995 lebaron and the shift problem it had. you were right in saying the shift cable was broken. thanks. now i hope you can help me again.    as usual when the heat comes it brings all kinds of problems with it.    recently after having driven my car all around town at one point tons and tons of white greenish smoke started coming out of my exhaust. smelt like burning coolant. also since the heat started i had to start putting a little bit of water in my radiator every day. it doesnt need alot, just needs to be toped off. it runs through the collant i put in the collant tank very quick too. usually a day or two.    thing is the car doesnt overheat. it stays withing accetable ranges for a 11 year old car. i was thinking maybe a cracked gasket or something, but i dont know much about cars. what do you think?

Answer
Hi Ruben,
That exhaust smoke which smells of coolant confirms what it wrong: one of the head gaskets on your V-6 has blown a leak so that coolant is getting into one of its combustion chambers. You can pull the plugs on each bank of cylinders and see if any of them are wet with coolant or crank it and see which spark plug hole blows out coolant to identify which side's gasket is blown. That is the reason for all your issues.
