how do i fix the computer bord in a 1989 chrysler newyorker

Hi Karen,
I have not heard of people successfully repairing these circuit boards because there are no widely available wiring diagrams and some of the parts are probably not well identified. My inclination would be to find a used one at a wrecking yard. There are two boards: the engine controller and the body computer boards. There are other circuit boards such as for the electronic cluster if you have that one.
You might inspect the bad board and see if you can spot a component such as an electrolytic capacitor may have broken down which leaves a wet spot underneath it, and it usually is marked as to compacitance and voltage limits. That might be something that could be repaired by the amateur with a soldering gun.
