Chrysler Repair: 95 Lebaron Convertible Electrical Issues, electrical meter, electrical issues

Question
Roland:

My '95 LeBaron convertible has electrial issues.  all of the required safety systems are working, but the tachometer, interior lights, power mirrors, cruise control and radio don't.  I've checked all of the fuses, including those in the Power Distribution Center (under the hood).  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Answer
Hi Bob,
When you say that you checked the fuses, does that mean with an electrical meter or visually? You may miss a very subtle crack in the fuse's internal wire which arises due to repeated heating and cooling. The interior lights and power mirrors are powered by fuse 13 under the dash, the radio by fuse 27, the cruise by 15 and 21, and the tach by fuse 13 (already listed above for interior lights) and also fuse 16. I would recommend that you check each of those fuses with an ohmmeter, or check for voltage to be present on both sides of the fuse as it sits in its socket. Then let me know what you have found and whether you successfully corrected any of the devices.
