Can you please show me the firing order for a 2000 concord..i need to replace the number faive coil..Thank you
Answer -
Hi Debbie,
Interestingly, because the modern engines don't use a distributor with interchangeable wires the firing order is not likely to be out of order. The individual coils are hard wired to the engine control module so the order can't get changed. In any case the #5 coil on the 3.2L is the the rear most one on the passenger side of the engine compartment. I checked my powertrain troubleshooting book but it didn't happen to mention the firing order. But at least you now know which coil it is you want to replace.

I changed the coil pack and still my check engine light is on and I have had the thing reset.  It still is not running with full poer...any suggestions

Answer
Hi Debbie,
When you first wrote to me you asked about the firing order and you believed that there was a problem with the #5 coil. But you didn't say on what basis (what fault code) you were using to decide that the coil was the cause of your problem. There are three different kinds of codes that are cylinder specific for the #5 cylinder: 0305,0355 and 0205, which are respectively, a misfire without specific cause, the coil primary circuit, and the injector control circuit.
If you will tell me which code you are responding to and also which engine you have I might be better able to give you some advice. Also any relevant history of when/how long/symptoms would be welcome. I just don't know enough about the situation to be of much help.
