Chrysler Repair: Chrysler Minivan - Wiper Failure, chrysler minivan, dodge dealer

Question
I have a 2001 Town and Country with a wiper problem.  When you turn on the wipers they don't move, and you hear a buzzing sounds like a stuck motor, or a stripped gear of some kind.  Any insight.  My wife called a local Dodge dealer, and they didn't believe that it was a motor, just discussing it over the phone.

Would like to have some insight before taking it in for repair.

thanks,

Answer
Hi John,
I would suggest listening from outside the vehicle.
The wiper motor is at the back of the engine compartment actually in the space under the grill at the very bottom of the windshield. The sound could also be a wiper motor relay, which would make a noise coming from a box located near the battery were it acting up (remove the lid of the box and see if it is louder and you can feel it vibrating). I believe those are the only two components that would buzz. So once you do that, let me know which component seems to be making the noise.
