Question
i have a 92 colt vista plymouth [ wagon ]. my rear defrost stop working after it came from the shop for repairs on something totally diffrent. i wonder if the shop accidently disconnected the wires. how can i get that problem fixed.

Answer
Hi Brenda,
I don't have any manuals on the Chrysler import cars so I don't have specific circuit diagrams about the rear defrost. But if you have an owners manual or could acquire a Haynes shop manual or a Chrysler Colt manual from a local library you will be able to determine which fuse powers that defroster and then you can check that to make sure it isn't blown. You might look at the fuse box to see if one is labelled for the defroster. If that is o.k. then I would look at the rear to find the wires that supply the electrical current to the window and check those out. Last would be to check the switch that is used to turn it on. You can get a simple neon glow light for 12v testing to see if there is voltage present at these various locations when one wire is touched to the supply wire and the other wire to a shiney metal surface of the body nearby. It is a simple circuit and one that you can check out yourself with the test light.
