Chrysler Repair: Chrysler T&C Van/Alarm Going Off, battery cables, battery connection

Roland,
  We've had our 1997 T&C LXi mini-van since August of 1996.  The van has had no major problems and has proven itself as a worthy vechile.  
  Recently, the alarm has been going off after about 15 minutes of being set.  
  I've noticed some corrosion on the battery cables and leads.  Could that have something to do with the problem?
  Your help will be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Jorge,
Yes if the battery current is interrupted the lights will flash and the engine "no start" feature will be activated (but not the horn). So if it is doing that it may indeed be a flakey battery connection due to the corrosion at the clamps that you described. So try cleaning the clamps and posts and see if that solves it.
