Chrysler Repair: Chrysler Town & Country Rear Windshied Wiper Motor, rear windshield wiper, switch signals

Question
My rear windshield wiper does not work.  It stopped working when a large chunk of ice landed on the wiper arm while it was running.

If I apply 12V directly to the motor it runs.  The fuse for this circuit (fuse 11) is good.

Is there another fuse on this circuit?
Where is the  Body Control Module?  I would like determine if the wiper switch signals are OK, and if the power output to the rear wiper motor is working here.

Do you have any other advice on troubleshooting this circuit?

Thanks,
Chris

Answer
Hi Chris,
You didn't mention the year of your T & C so I am a little limited in my response. I suspect that what has happened is that the internal switch and or diode inside the motor unit may have been damaged by the ice chunk collision. I don't see fuse 11 as the one for the rear motor in my Haynes for '96-98, but maybe that is the correct # for your year (96-7 is fuse #3, 98 is fuse #6).
The fuse is supposed to supply 12V on the brown/pink wire in start or run, while the brown/light green wire is labelled the control wire coming from the body computer which is located next to the fuse box under the dash.
I am not quite sure if the diode and switch are for the self-parking function or as a relay function but in any case if it won't run unless you put 12V on the pin that is normally connected to the brown/pink wire, then the brown/pink wire itself is not getting 12V from the fuse that is supposed to supply it. I am assuming the wire colors for you year of van is the same as shown in 96-98 wiring diagrams. Are you sure fuse 11 is for the rear motor?
