Chrysler Repair: cruise control, powertrain control module, vacuum servo

Question
Roland
I have a 1993 Shadow ES 3.0 V-6 that I recently changed the heads. Since I have replaced the heads I have lost cruise control on it. Can you advise? Thank you.

Answer
Hi Ron,
Did the throttle cable coming from the servo get reconnected to the throttle body during the repair?
Check fuse # 3.
Then check the large vacuum line from the intake manifold to the power brake booster to make sure it is tightly clamped at booth ends and then check the small vacuum line that branches off that line and goes to the vacuum servo located under the batery tray. There is a vacuum reservoir to the side of the battery and a hose from that to the servo so check those hoses also. If you have a vacuum gauge you could verify that you are getting a vacuum in the hose that is attached to the servo.
Check that the switch on the brake pedal is not being inadvertantly activated due to being out of adjustment.
Check the neutral/park safety switch to be adjusted properly.
After all those, the servo should be checked for vacuum integrity (I can describe that test, if necessary) and electrical function, and the plug-in to the powertrain control module.
Those are all the items that need to be right for the speed control to work.
Otherwise, how is the car running? I recall you have written earlier but I can't recall what the issue was. Unfortunately there is not way for me to identify who wrote previous questions without a significant search.
