Chrysler Repair: Chrysler Concorde, pulley bolt, chrysler concorde

Question
-------------------------
Thanks Roland,
The problem was the sensor. ($6.69)The car runs fine, now. However, the alternator belt is loose and needs to be tightened..The car has two belts..Belt #1 goes around the crankshaft, a/c compressor, and tension pulley...Belt #2 goes around the crankshaft, alternator, power steering pump, and idler pulley...I don't see the typical adjustable bracket on the alternator..How do I tighten the belt?

Answer
Hi Eric,
Thanks for the update on the earlier problem. Unfortunately I can't easily identify your earlier question because the names of the questioner are not listed in the archive, only the subject of the question and date. So if you would remind me of what that was, I would be able to make the connection.
On the belt #2, the idler pulley is the adjustable part. You have to loosen the pulley bolt whicn will then allow you to turn a bolt whose head is very close to the pulley bolt, but the shaft of this bolt it at right angles (aligned along the axis of the car) from what I can tell based on the drawing in the shop manual. So take a look at the idler pulley mounting bracket for these two bolts
