Chrysler Repair: slamming door, summer 69, panel button

Question
Roland
I'm asking you this question for a friend. Thanks for the previous help. He has a LHS 1995 3.3 and he would like to know the fix of the slamming door problem for the heating and cooling of the climate control selections. There is a knob on the control panel dash for temperature settings between 60-90.If your set this for anything 69* and below it works fine. Anything above 69*you can hear a door open and rapidly slams continueously. And since it is getting winter here in Ohio, he needs heat. This past summer 69* and below was fine. Any suggestions of this fix? Thank you.

Answer
Hi Ron,
The ATC control has a fault detection/self-readout capability. This is how you get it to readout:
Have the engine idling and set the temperature on the panel to 75 degrees, then push in and hold the Floor, Mix, and Defrost buttons all at the same time until the display section blinks, then release the buttons.
The control display will continue to blink, and then show two-digit trouble code numbers if any are present, they range from # 23 to # 36.
Only one code can be displayed at a time, but pressing and releasing the Panel button will display the next code if present. If no more codes are present the display will return to normal.
Write back with the code #'s if any and I can decode them.
There is also a web site with this info:

Then we can discuss how to fix it.
