Chrysler Repair: Wiper Motpr, 1997 chrysler concorde, chrysler concorde

Question
How to replace a 1997 chrysler concorde wiper motor?

Wiper just stopped working.

Answer
Hi Hashim,
Have you checked the fuses and done any electrical testing?
If not, I would begin at the power distribution center under the hood on the left (driver's) side which is a rectangular box with a lid. Look at both fuse A and fuse C to inspect that the wires inside the fuses is not broken. If it is replace the fuse. Then open the drivers door and look for a fuse box on the very left hand end of the dash (underside) where you should inspect fuse 10.
If all the fuses check out, then the switches and the electrical supply to the motor need to be verified. Do you have a voltmeter to work with? I can tell you how to check that the electrical supply to the wiper motor is o.k. Only then would I suggest replacing the motor.
I would do all this before assuming that the wiper motor is at fault. Write me back about your testing results. Then if necessary I can give you the info about how to replace the motor.
