Chrysler Repair: 2000 Chrysler Cirrus A/C knob issue, 2000 chrysler cirrus, chrysler cirrus

Question
Roland,

In this article http://experts.about.com/q/807/3933524.htm
you gave a great response to a problem that is EXACTLY what I
am having with my 2000 Cirrus.  Are the chances pretty good
that the exact same fix would work on my car?  If so, would it be
possible to get the pictures you mentioned in the previous
article?

I know 2000 is a bit out of you stated range of expertise, but I
am hoping the design hasn't changed.

Answer
Hi Jerod,
If you believe the symptom is the same then I suspect so.
If moving the know seems very easy and you don't hear anything moving inside the unit when you move it then that is a good possibility. Of course if the A/C is not working you will not get cooling either, but I think if all indications are that it is, then the mixing door could well be disconnected or ineffectively controller by the knob. So send me a mailing address and I'll xerox and snail mail you the pages from the '96 Cirrus manual.
